Striving to create a culture of belonging, access, and development for today’s young professionals, tomorrow’s leaders.

The UT Dallas Young Professionals Employee Resource Group (YP ERG) was founded in Fall 2017 and reinstated in Summer 2022. Our purpose is to foster a sense of belonging and collaborative environment at UT Dallas for new and existing young, new, and emerging professionals. We aim to do this by providing resources and programming centered around professional development, community engagement, and networking.

The UT Dallas YP ERG, foster a sense of belonging and collaborative environment for:

  • New to Higher Ed professionals
  • Young professionals
  • Emerging professionals (Entry –> Mid-Level)
  • folks interested in the professional development/support of young professionals

Mission

The Mission of the Young Professionals ERG is to be a strategic partner with UT Dallas to promote a culture of equality and belonging through collaboration. The Young Professionals ERG will advance the understanding of the sense of belonging of employees with diverse backgrounds, interests, and/or goals. The vision, mission, goals, policies, and activities of the Young Professionals ERG are fully aligned with those of the University of Texas at Dallas’ mission, goals, and policies.

The Young Professionals ERG will be a valuable mechanism to:

  • Build a culture that fosters community
  • Offer employees access to leadership opportunities and resources
  • Establish programs and activities aligned with the mission
  • Provide employees opportunities to develop and grow
