It’s been a whirlwind summer, and now the school year is upon us. Let’s come together for one last social event to say goodbye to summer and hello fall! The board will cover some of the big wins from this year and speak on things to come, but the primary focus of this event is just to network and relax with new, existing, and prospective members.

Volunteer Event – Millennial Action Day
Dallas Millennials are invited to join together for a day of community service to give back to the Dallas community and move us closer to Dr. King’s vision of a “Beloved Community.” Check in will begin at 9 a.m. at Forest Park 2906 Parnell St. Parking is free. Volunteer duties will primarily consist of litter pick up, so please dress according to the weather. All volunteers must be registered to participate.
Holiday Dinner Social
As a way to celebrate the end of the year and all we’ve accomplished, we are happy to announce the UTD Young Professionals and BB&T Banking’s API Business Resource Group have partnered together to host a Holiday Dinner Social here on campus. Please join us for this unique networking opportunity with free food and drinks, good company, and opportunities to connect with professionals both in and outside the university. Feel free to bring guests to this event including significant others.
Coffee & Conversations
Join the Young Professionals ERG for Coffee & Conversations. This event will provide an opportunity for ERG members to connect with established higher education administrators from our campus. There will be brief remarks from our executive sponsor, Yolandé Evans, followed by intimate roundtable discussions and a networking mixer. Be sure to bring your business cards! Coffee and other light refreshments will be provided.
Comets Giving Day
Comets Giving Day is here! The Young Professionals ERG is one of the many organizations supported by this event. We encourage you to check out our initiatives, as well as a few others that have a campus-wide impact, and choose the one that moves you. All money raised for our ERG will go into our programming to allow us to give back to you, our members, in a more impactful way.
March Madness – Bracket & Happy Hour
We have created an opportunity for our members to create a bracket for this year’s March Madness. We will then be hosting a Happy Hour at American Taproom. You do not need to participate in the bracket in order to attend. This will be a fun event to mix and mingle with other members in the organization. We hope to see you there!
Tango Tab – Feed the City
We would like to invite you, your family and friends to join us for our first Day of Service! We will be joining Tango Tab’s Feed the City to make sandwiches for those in need. This volunteer event is probably like nothing you’ve ever done before. It isn’t merely a sandwich event, but rather an opportunity to bring people together to make an impact in our community. We will be meeting at City Works Restaurant near the Dallas Cowboys practice facility The Star in Frisco.
